Maintain your sleep schedule.
Are you having problems sleeping or waking up tired more often than not? Did you know that the national sleep foundation recommends 7-9 hours of sleep each night. Not getting the recommended amount of sleep each night can negatively affect your health. Oversleeping, under sleeping or not getting sound sleep all can be prevented however. You have to take charge and be proactive when it comes to your sleep schedule.
Oversleeping has been linked to a host of medical problems, including diabetes, heart disease, and increased risk of death according to WebMD. However many of us under sleep during our week and over sleep during the weekend. When you over sleep you throw off your body’s natural sleeping cycle causing you to stay up later and get less sleep. This is why a sleep schedule is so important. Set a sleep schedule and stick to it. You should schedule in seven to nine hours of sleep each night as well as when you will wake up and even schedule a nap during the day if needed. Try this for two week. Your body will naturally start to get tired and wake up and provide you with more energy through the day.
Not getting enough sleep is something many people struggle with. The most common answer with asked why people don’t get enough sleep is; “There are not enough hours in the day”. This ladies and gentlemen is wrong! There are the perfect amount of hours in the day and you are not going to get more hours by sleeping less. Try to delegate tasks, don.t over commit yourself and stay strong to your sleep schedule, These simple fixes can allow you more sleep that will make
you feel better rested and allow you to be more productive when you are preforming day to day tasks.
Sound sleep is key to feeling refreshed in the morning. Many of us may get to bed when we should and wake up at the recommended seven to nine hours later, however if we are tossing and turning all night we don’t feel rested in the morning. Simply by turning off the TV may be a simple fix. If this doesn’t work you may need a new mattress and or pillow. You can always check out an intelliBED or other high end mattress that will allow you a better nights rest.
There are a lot of things in life that we can’t control however sleeping is one that we can. Take control of your sleeping schedule, cycle and how you feel in the morning.
